What S3K have been up to….
This term we are learning about Aboriginal Australians. Our class has been divided into groups of 5. Each group has to come up with their own Dreaming story and perform it at the campfire that we will hold in Area 7. We are going to cook, perform and dance around the campfire.
When we started this unit our teacher, Ms Krisenthal asked us to bring in anything that we had that was Aboriginal. Last week Jihad brought in his Aboriginal dot painted snake, didgeridoo, pictures and a spear that he had made all by himself.
Last Friday for our golden time we made a Rainbow Serpent with coloured paper chains. We have a map that has all the Aboriginal language groups and nations in Australia such as Mbara, Kunja, Muruwari, Barindji and many more. The group that had lived in our area was named Eora.
